Vortex is a webapp specially made for scuba divers within Recreational limits. It contains full of useful utilities which make complex calculations very easy. The app goes beyond the most other apps on the market.
Although several small apps exist helping you to plan your dives or calculate some limited basic calculations, we decided to invest the time to create a more in depth app useful for every diver at every level.
Furthermore, a database of the most important dangerous Marine animals is provided including a summary of various injuries such as slab or bite wounds, poisonings as well as prevention and aftercare. Tips are given for administrating the first care after contact with a specific dangerous marine animal.
The application has been developed to assist in the planning and in the process of dive training. The application does not replace the decompression software or training in any way. It is in addition to knowledge and skills, additional facilitation for quickly calculate some fundamental items.
This app provides calculations for SAC (RVM) - Minimum gas for Emergency ascent - EAD - Breathing gas requirements - MOD - Gas consumption at depth - EAN - Max bottom time - Calculation of the capacity of a deco bottle as well as useful calculations such as weight of different gasses, Cylinder buoyancy calculations
The app is made in a Metric system, which is the most used system in the world. However, the second app (CONVERT) provides all necessary conversion units needed for scuba divers.
DANGEROUS MARINE ANIMALS
We decided to program Vortex in the Metrix system because of many reasons. The most obvious is because the imperial system feels overly complicated and it doesn’t fit nicely.
The Metric system is used in more than 197 countries, however, we provide in this module Convert the most used conversions between Metric and Imperial.
The app contains conversions BAR/Psi - M/ft - Kg/lbs - L/cu ft, Temperatures F°/C°, conversions between US/EU cylinders.
Marine animals are subdivided into different categories. The database provides a summary of the most dangerous species which divers can encounter during their dives. Various injuries such as slab or bite wounds, poisonings as well as prevention and aftercare are described as well as useful tips for administrating the first care after contact with a specific dangerous marine animal.
Since the app is a webbased program ( such as facebook, Instagram and many others ), it can be used on all kind of devices connected to internet.
The app can easely be downloaded on your mobile in order to facilitate the access to the program. ( Just copy the link of the app-URL to your mobile ).
